What types of clothing should I bring?

You need to bring all the necessary motorcycle riding gear. We will be riding in cool and warm weather; it is a good idea to bring a jacket that has a removable layer.

How many riders will there be in a guided tour?

We believe in riding in small groups, we shall not have more than 8 riders plus their passengers.

Is there a minimum riding experience needed to participate in your program?

A minimum of two years of riding experience is required. We will be traveling through curvy roads, high altitude passes and various types of terrain. Most of the riding will take place on paved roads with occasional encounters unpaved roads.

What documents should I bring to my trip?

You should have a valid passport with an expiration date 6 months after the trip, a valid driver’s license and a credit card for the motorcycle insurance deductible deposit.

Is a travel visa required to travel into Ecuador?

Most of the visitors that travel to Ecuador are automatically granted a tourist visa, a 12-X, which allows for a stay of up to 90 days. The only countries that need a visa to access Ecuador are Afganistan, Bangladesh, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan and Somalia. For all the rest, the only requirements to obtain a 12-X visa are a passport valid for at least six months, a return ticket, and proof of economic means to support yourself during your stay.

What types of accommodations are included?

3 – 4 star hotels, old haciendas, and lodges. We will always seek the best alternative available.

How much cash should I bring to the trip?

In Ecuador credit cards widely accepted; it also easy to find automatic teller machines (ATM). An estimate of $30 dollars per day should be enough to cover other expenses. Gas stations accept credit cards.

What is the price of petrol in Ecuador?

The price of gasoline is fixed by the government, premium gas costs around US$2.00 per gallon.
